TC&E - A Division of AP4 Group Recommends the Following Reliability Assessments:
Clean and Inspect turbine control panel and HMI computers
Remove dirt and dust that accumulate and can cause paths of current to ground which can lead to premature failure of circuit cards, hard drives and cause erroneous and nuisance diagnostic alarms.
Ensure all screw terminal, ribbon cables and wire connectors are tight and not corroded. Coat required connections with Nygel Electric Grease to prevent Corrosion and ensure a good path for signal passing is established.
I&C Calibrations
Efficient Gas Turbine operations require specific and accurate data from the field devices. If the data received at the control system is not accurate, the system cannot properly calculate Firing Temperature, Fuel Scheduling or MW demand. A 1% error in Compressor Discharge Calculation is equivalent to a 1% loss in Turbine Output. Calibrations are cheap insurance to ensure you Generator is making all the power it is capable of.
Critical component calibration and inspection
Gas Valves, Inlet Guide Vane, Inlet Bleed Heat, Purge Valves, Liquid Fuel System components, Atomizing Air system, Hydraulic, Hydrogen and Seal system are among the systems that must be in absolute perfect working order in ensure the reliability of your Turbine Generator Set.
Servo Replacement Program
Servos are the Heart of your Critical Valves and require maintenance and rebuild more often then most think. Often Servos are not thought of until they fail in service causing missed starts and forced outages. TC&E recommends that each site buy a spare set of servos and once a year swap them out and have them sent off for inspection and rebuild. This is another very cheap Insurance policy to prevent forced outages and missed starts.
Reliability
Using the latest technology, components, and lessons learned through decades of experience, TC&E can ensure complete reliability for both start-up and continuous operation.
Affordability
Spending good money where it makes the most difference! We understand that O&M budgets are shrinking, so we work with the plants to understand where and when to repair, replace, or upgrade for maximum return.
Efficiency
This is the key to success in today’s competitive power markets. Heat Rate, Capacity, Start-Up, and Maintenance Costs are critical to the success of aging power plants.
Longevity
Aging systems can continue to provide reliable service for many years to come with the proper service, maintenance, and repairs. Push your upgrades out 5-10 years with confidence.
Success Story
TC&E has always provided a high level of expertise and detail on our site—most notably, custom-tailored projects to reduce parasitic load during the off-peak seasons using logic and controls.
